GAME ONE

The Indians mustered just one hit and five base runners Friday night against Flower Mound Marcus at Irving MacArthur High School in a 9-0 loss in game one of the 6A Region I area championship.

That lone Indian hit came off the bat of Peyton Graham in the form of a single into left field in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Sage Hampton, Aaron Tesei, Graham and BG Winn represented the other Waxahachie base runners.

After a 1-2-3 top of the first inning, the Marauders touched up Tesei for two runs in the top of the second inning. Tesei was eventually chased from the game following 4.1 innings of work. He allowed four earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts.

The Marauders later plated three runs in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth off of three Waxahachie pitchers.

Marcus collected its nine runs on 11 hits and three Waxahachie errors.
