Waxahachie committed six errors in a season-ending 9-4 loss to Flower Mound Marcus on Saturday afternoon at Irving MacArthur High School in the 6A Region I area championship.

The Marauders plated four runs in the first inning and two more in the second inning to build a 6-2 lead.

Waxahachie battled back to pull within two, 6-4, as the game turned to the bottom of the fourth inning.

Peyton Graham got the Waxahachie scoring started with his fifth home run of the season in the top of the first inning.

Jordy Fay later scored on a wild pitch in the second inning and Anthony Mata plated Tesei with a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Xavian Thompson scored the final Waxahachie run of the season following his double, a Bryson Campbell single and Marauder error in the fourth inning.

Waxahachie ends the season with an 18-13-1 record in its first year in Class 6A.
