INDIANS WIN THE BRENNAN SHOOTOUT

The Waxahachie Indians competed in the Brennan Shootout held at The Golf Club Of Texas in San Antonio walking away with a first-place finish. Leading the way for the Indians was Freshman Jud Willett with a 160 total for the tournament. Jake Reames (161), Chris Hill (165), Grant Armstrong (165), Nic Simmel (167), Michael Davis (178), Garrett Roux and Jackson Bell. Six of the eight golfers placed in the top ten of the tournament. Playing a course you have never seen and 100 percent Zoysia grass proved challenging as the Indians shot 333 on day one but followed up with a 320 on Day 2. Waxahachie will have a combined 1st and 2nd Squad competing in the Regional Tournament March 6-7 at TangleRidge GC.
