Lady Indians softball teams honor first responders
The Waxahachie High School Lady Indians varsity and JV softball teams honored first responders at a recent game.

“At this time, we are going to recognize all the first responders who have been invited by the varsity and junior varsity Lady Indians softball team,” a spokesman said. “There are no words to express our gratitude and admiration for the brave men and women who run toward danger to selflessly save others. To all of you who give of yourselves day after day, thank you.”

Varsity first responder honorees

• Taylor Boozer – fireman and paramedic for Irving Fire Department

• Jason Vire – Arlington Police Department

• Jay Stone – Texas DPS

• Chad Raney – deputy sheriff at Ellis County Sheriff’s Office

• Eric Thompson – K9 at DFW Police Department

• John Zaidle – chief of police at Palmer Police Department

• Brent Fuller and all the Waxahachie Fire Department

Junior varsity first responder honorees:

• Randall Potter – Waxahachie Fire Department

• Chris Banz – Arlington Fire Department

• Brad Norman – sheriff at Ellis County Sheriff’s Office

• Chad Raney – deputy sheriff at Ellis County Sheriff’s Office

• Calvin Brown – Grand Prairie Police Department

• Chris Christian – firefighter
