Although cut short by the threat of lightning in the area, the community was able to socialize with the Waxahachie High School Indians the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Lumpkins Stadium. The Meet the Indians event provided an opportunity to see the football team showcase its skills prior to the season getting underway. The varsity team has scrimmaged Midlothian Heritage and Red Oak to date and kicks off its season at Lumpkins against Ennis on Friday, Aug. 26.
