CALVIN SIMPSON-HUNT SELECTED TO THE ALL-AMERICAN BOWL

Calvin Simpson-Hunt selected to the All-American Bowl
On Friday, September 30, 2022, the Waxahachie Football program took a moment to celebrate one of our very own, Calvin Simpson-Hunt, who is one of only 100 student-athletes across America to be selected to participate in this prestigious showcase.

Simpson-Hunt, who is committed to play college football at Ohio State University next year, has been a standout student and citizen throughout his time at Waxahachie High School. Under the watchful eye of school administration and staff, he has grown into a leader on campus and in the community. He is a role model for the next generation of upcoming Indian student-athletes. On the gridiron, he has developed into a standout Football player under Head Coach Shane Tolleson and staff. His combination of character and athletic ability led to him being deemed worthy of earning such a special honor.

Calvin is the one of first of what we expect to be many Waxahachie student-athletes in the coming years to earn recognition for the special combination of academics and athletics that exist in this quickly-growing town. He joins former standout Waxahachie Indian Football players Jalen Reagor (Minnesota Vikings, Under Armour All-American Game 2017) and Demani Richardson (Texas A&M, Army All-American Game 2019) as recent recipients of such an honor.
